7 Days Hiking from Fes to Merzouga desert

Day 1:

We at Morocco Holiday Planner - trusted Morocco travel company based in Casablanca and Marrakech - we organise private tours from Fes. Departure from Fes by comfortable transport 4x4 with English speaking driver Pick up from the hotel at 8am toward the desert through Azrou city the most important Berber souk at the bottom of the Antis Atlas with a furry man of woods and high meadows that bloom each spring, enjoy beautiful views at landscapes of cedar forests of the Middle arriving at Midelt and its various Berber communes of the interior of Morocco for the lunch; continuation to Erfoud through the valley of Ziz born in the high Eastern Atlas and flows during 280KM. Dinner and night will be in the hotel.

Day 2:

After having breakfast, we drive to the poets of Merzouga, after arriving at the desert of Merzouga you camel trek to the big dunes in Morocco Erg Chebbi to spend the night in a Berber tent under the stars in the middle of pretty sand. It will be drum music at the evening campfire.

Day 3:

Wake up early to watch the sunrise, return from camp by camel for having breakfast and shower, you enjoy a lunch that will be prepared in the dunes, you will walk 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours afternoon. Return to the nomad tent for having dinner spending night

Day 4:

After having traditional breakfast, we will go to Dades, through souk Rissani, you enjoy the beautiful scenery at the gorges of Toudra Tinghir, we will drive throught Kalaat Mgouna to reach Skoura, it is a fertile oasis lined with huge palm groves, we will visit the Amerhidil Kasbah built by the master of Glaoui, the palm of Skoura, it’s full of beautiful Kasbahs in bed and breakfast in the most for the Berber style, for a surprisingly simple authenticity. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel.

Day 5:

After breakfast, we leave Skoura for reaching Ouarzazate by the valley of roses, one of the most captivating and authentic regions of Morocco. This is a misleading term for a woman who can make a bouquet of roses. Instead, the visitor will be able to appreciate the difference. When you arrive in Ouarzazate, you will spend the night at the hotel.

Day 6:

After breakfast, we will visit the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah by Ounila valley classified in the UNESCO World Heritage, also Telouet Kasbah (Kasbah’s Glaoui) Lunch on site. We will drive through Tizi n-tichka to Marrakech. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel.

Day 7:

After breakfast, a visit to the famous Jamel Fna square in the first touristic city in Morocco Marrakech with its historical monuments, Badi and Bahia Palaces, Saadiens Tombs .
