Day 2: Exploring Fes with Experienced Guide
Today we enjoy a guided Fez walking tour with local guide visiting best sights in medina (the old city) and its narrow streets and alleys. We explore the Jewish Quarter (called the Mellah) and exterier of the Royal Palace. We walk in medina to reach and visit the famous tanneries. We continue Fes walking tour to the Quaraouine mosque considered the first university in the world . Free program afternoon followed by overnight in local hotel / riad.
Day 3 : Fes To Merzouga Desert Via Midelt
Today we travelling towards Ifrane from fez, then it’s referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco”. During this journey you’ll see glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest, the largest in Morocco, where you may well see Barbarian apes. Lunch will be in Midelt in a traditional Moroccan restaurant , then afterwards we’ll travel through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock and along the spectacular Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way. We’ll drive through welcoming Berber villages to Erfoud and then Rissani, before arriving to Merzouga. Here you’ll be welcomed by a glass of mint tea before you check in to our guest house beside the sand dunes . dinner and breakfast.
Day 4: From Merzouga To Dades Valley Via Todra
Your camel guide will wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise in your life, then you’ll peacefully camel-
Day 5: Dades Gorges -
Today we drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. We’ll stop at Kalaat Mgouna, “the rose city”, to purchase the rosewater, which will make your linen smell good a long time after your trip is over journey will continue to Marrakech passing by Ait Ben haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. The Kasbah was built by Et Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains during the 18th century, now it is a house of many Glaoui people. Your journey will continue through the majestic Tizi n’tichka Pass (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains, where we can stop to discover the way and the process of making the argain oil by the Berber women their cooperatives before arriving at your accommodation in Marrakech.
Day 6: marrakech Excursion (Optional Transfer To Casablanca)
Today we explore best sites in Marrakech with local guide. The guided tour of Marrakech includes a visit to the medina, we also explore Majorelle Gardens, the Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace.
